Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2023-11-25T07:59Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
ACE: SWEPAM
ACE: MAG
Activity ID: 2023-11-25T07:59:00-IPS-001 (version 1)
Quality of ICME Signature: 1 (lacks some signatures)
Note: Complex arrival signature that may be mixed with the arrival of a coronal hole high speed stream with onset around 2023-11-24T18:50Z. Solar wind speed was previously elevated around 480 km/s, possibly from a coronal hole high speed stream arrival, and increased to over 550 km/s, reaching a maximum near 600 km/s. Increase in B_total from 7 nT to 15 nT, peaking at 18 nT at 2023-11-25T08:30Z. Increases in density and temperature were also observed. This enhancement solar wind parameters may be the arrival of CME with ID 2023-11-22T21:36:00-CME-001.
